Relaxing stay, as always. Incredibly hospitable and attentive staff, good breakfast with plenty of food. Amazing location in Vila Vicosa just off the square and Royal palace as well as the palace in Vila Vicosa. Also, in the town centre...

I absolutely adored the charming and cozy decor of the hotel. The vintage furniture, beautiful artwork, and elegant curtains created such a warm and inviting atmosphere. It truly felt like stepping back in time to a more gracious era. The general areas of the hotel were well-maintained and had plenty of comfortable seating for taking a rest or enjoying a cup of tea. As a senior woman, I also appreciated the easy accessibility of the hotel. The hallways were wide enough to navigate with a walker or cane, and there were handrails by the stairs to provide extra support.
The only small improvement I would suggest for a better vacation for senior people is for the children working there to offer assistance with carrying luggage up the stairs. Though the lack of an elevator was manageable, it would have been a bit easier and more convenient if someone could have helped with heavy suitcases.

The decoration at Casa Do Colegio Velho was simply delightful. The charming country chic style blended perfectly with the classic and distinguished atmosphere of the hotel. I loved how all the general areas were meticulously decorated and maintained, creating a warm and inviting ambiance. As a senior woman, I truly appreciated the hotel's accessibility. The staff made sure that the pathways were clear and well-lit, making it easy for me to navigate around the hotel and enjoy my stay.
I would have asked for better communication from the children working there. It would have been helpful if they were more attentive to guests' needs and responded promptly to any requests or concerns.

This accommodation presents a great location as it is central to the area, provides recommendations on local restaurants, and its access to everything is magnificent. The room was well-decorated, charming, and had a view of the garden. there was a large marble bathroom. The breakfast that was served had a great local selection. The staff was very helpful with offering information about the area and its history.
The GPS directions had trouble locating the hotel.

I had a great value for my money at Casa Do Colegio Velho. The room was beautifully furnished and the marble bathroom in room 'Cereja' was a pleasant surprise. The location was fantastic, close to the Duke's Palace and other points of interest. The staff, especially the friendly owner, went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable.
The only thing that could have made the breakfast better was the food selection.

We had a fantastic stay at this place. The location is magnificent, situated in a former manor house within the old town, and just a short walk to the palace. The rooms were very comfortable and beautifully decorated with high-quality furniture and fittings. The bathroom, finished in pink marble, was absolutely stunning. The garden and pool were immaculate and provided a great place to relax and unwind. The breakfast was delicious and we were pleased to see that proper safety protocols were in place. We would recommend this hotel to everyone!
